AMD is not done releasing new Zen 5 desktop CPUs just yet. This time, we get a bunch of new X3D SKUs across all segments. Earlier leaks referenced a 6-core Ryzen 5 9600X3D and a top-spec Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 with 3D V-cache on both CCDs. AMD has quite a few SKUs lined up, and the following have been unearthed so far:
- Ryzen 5 9600X3D
- Ryzen 7 9700X3D
- Ryzen 7 9850X3D
- Ryzen 9 9950X3D2
One of the leaked CPUs, the Ryzen 7 9700X3D, has shown up on PassMark. The 8-core, 16-thread processor has a boost clock of 5.8 GHz, which is incrementally higher than that of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D (5.3 GHz). It scores 4,687/40,438 in PassMark's single and multi-core tests, effectively making it faster than the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
The CPU is very likely overclocked, and its final clock speeds will very likely be around the 5.0 GHz mark. While PassMark does not explicitly state how much L3 cache the Ryzen 7 9700X3D has, 96 MB seems like a plausible figure. Its presence on PassMark implies it is close to release and it could be shown off next year at CES 2026.
