The horde of AMD's X3D-branded CPUs seems to be endless. An earlier PassMark listing confirmed the existence of a Ryzen 7 9700X3D, and now, a new Geekbench listing sheds light on its Zen 4-based sibling: the Ryzen 5 7500X3D. It succeeds the Ryzen 5 5500X3D, which was also stealthily dropped well after Zen 3 was out and about.
The Ryzen 5 7500X3D scores 2,399 and 11,232 in Geekbench's single and multi-core tests with a boost clock of 4.6 GHz. Its performance is more or less on par with the already released Ryzen 5 7600X3D, and in the real world, the difference between the two might not amount to much. Regardless, it adds another option for cost sensitive markets.
Specs-wise, the Ryzen 5 7500X3D comes with 6 Zen 4 cores and 96 MB of L3 cache. Its TDP will likely max out at 65 Watts like other Ryzen 5 SKUs. The only mystery is its price, and the only way to know that for sure is when AMD officially unveils it alongside the mountainload of other X3D CPUs.
