Integral Maven Cargo e-bike designed for women now crowdfunding
The Integral Maven Cargo e-bike is now crowdfunding on Kickstarter, available to customers in the US. The model has been designed by women for women, a marked change in a currently male-dominated industry. The e-bike’s frame has been tailored to suit the female body, with a lower centre of gravity for improved stability for shorter riders.
The Maven has a cleverly placed battery and 20 x 3-in tires to ensure the rear luggage rack is less than 24-in (~61 cm) from the ground. This design, however, still makes it suitable for taller people, with a suggested rider height range of 5 ft 0-in to 6 ft 7-in (~152 to 201 cm). The electric cargo bike is powered by a 750W motor with a throttle and a dual battery pack that provides up to 80 miles (~129 km) of assistance range. With the Smart edition, you can use the accompanying app to view your bicycle’s location and remotely lock your bicycle, triggering an alarm if motion is detected.
Other features include hydraulic disc brakes, adjustable front suspension, headlights and turning signals. You can pledge from US$1,999 to the Kickstarter campaign to receive the Integral Maven Cargo e-bike. The model will retail for US$2,599, meaning early customers save US$600. Shipping is free, though limited to the US, with deliveries estimated for February 2024.
