According to new information from Uncle Mountain and Chang'an Digital Jun, both leakers on Weibo, Huawei has two monitors ready to launch, not just the 32-inch model on which we have reported previously. Apparently, the Chinese company also plans to reveal a 42-inch monitor that it will also sell under its MateView series.
While Huawei will aim the 32-inch monitor at professionals, it has supposedly designed the 42-inch edition with gamers in mind. Accordingly, the smaller of the two will have a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 4,500 x 3,000 resolution and a native 90 Hz refresh rate. By contrast, the 42-inch model will have a 21:9 aspect ratio, which would make sense if Huawei has designed it for gamers. Additionally, the monitor will operate at up to 165 Hz at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels.
It is unclear if the monitor will support AMD FreeSync or NVIDIA G-Sync, but it will have built-in stereo speakers and HDR 400 certification. Currently, it is unknown when Huawei will unveil either monitor. However, the 32-inch model has already been certified by the 3C in China, so we imagine that the company is fairly close to releasing at least the smaller edition.
