The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro receives a new update globally

Huawei has started issuing a new update to Watch GT 2 Pro globally. The update addresses a few issues on the smartwatch, and is available to download via the Huawei Health app.
Chinese Tech Smartwatch Software

Huawei has expanded the rollout of firmware version 11.0.5.22. Initially, the company released the update to Watch GT 2 Pro devices in China, Huawei's home market. No regional restrictions should apply to version 11.0.5.22 from now, though.

According to a screenshot published by Huawei Central, version 11.0.5.22 is a 79.16 MB file. You can download the update through the Huawei Health app on your smartphone, which it can then transfer via Bluetooth to your smartwatch. Please note that your Watch GT 2 Pro's battery must have at least 20% remaining for the Huawei Health app to start transferring version 11.0.5.22.

While version 11.0.5.22 is a rather large file as smartwatch updates go, it does not change much. Specifically, it only optimises the Watch GT 2 Pro's lock screen experience and its system stability 'in certain situations'. Unsurprisingly, Huawei has not confirmed what situations these are.
