Huawei cuts Mate 10 Pro down to $650 USD, introduces new Mocha Brown color
Huawei has been getting the cold shoulder from the United States government for what the country claims to be espionage and security concerns related to wireless devices made by the Chinese manufacturer. The controversy has been at least partly responsible for major outlets like AT&T and Best Buy dropping Huawei smartphones from their brick and mortar locations. Ever since then, the manufacturer has been slashing prices off its flagship Mate 10 Pro to encourage more sales.
This month is no different as Huawei will be temporarily cutting the price of its flagship smartphone once again. In honor of Mother's Day, the Mate 10 Pro will be $650 USD online from now until May 19th for a price drop of $150 USD. The manufacturer will also be introducing a new Mocha Brown color exclusively through Amazon to accompany the existing Blue and Black colors options.
Outside of the smartphone promotion, the entry-level MateBook D laptop will also be cheaper from $700 down to $500. However, this deal will only be running until the 13th whereas the Mate 10 Pro sale will last an entire week longer.
Huawei is set to launch its P20 Pro smartphone worldwide and its second generation MateBook X laptop in the coming weeks. Whether or not Huawei will pullout completely from the U.S. market in the near future remains to be seen.
