Archive.org versionThe Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 is a mixture of good and bad components. The display is bright and vibrant, but it’s still at 720p resolution. The performance is decent and relatively fast thanks to its Snapdragon 450 chipset and 3GB RAM. The camera, on the other hand, is a roller coaster ride as the overall rear photos are sub-par to par only while the front camera is decent and good. Lastly, its battery life is impressive since it lasts longer than most competing smartphones in this price segment.

The new phone compliments the company’s Y6 Pro 2019 that’s aimed at the lower-end of the sub 10K market, and wants to draw in consumers with its large screen, pretty exterior and higher than average battery endurance. Priced at Php Php 9,990, it’s a legitimate challenger to budget big-batteried offerings of its rivals like ASUS’ ZenFone Max M2.

Model: The Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 is a mid-range smartphone with display as the main highlight. It features good performance as well as appearance, making it a great phone for budget users. The simple design of the Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 reveals its elegance in a rather different way. The curved rear cover with polished ceramic-like texture and smooth touch, gives users a unique and comfortable feeling in their hand. The Y7 Pro is available in two colors, namely Aurora Blue, and Midnight Black. The Y7 Pro measures 158.92 x 76.91 x 8.10 mm and weighs 168.00 grams. It features a wide 6.26-inch Dewdrop display, which provides a clear and broader view for a better mobile experience. The 1520 x 720 HD+ IPS screen reveals greater saturation, more clarity and natural colors from any viewing angle. The Huawei smartphone also features easy mode. The larger font, bigger icons and louder volume in Easy Mode provide a better experience for those who need it, especially elderly users. The simplified interface will make navigating the phone stress-free and easy to understand.
As for the camera, the 16 MP front camera features automatic retouching to deliver perfect photos. There is no need to edit photos because selfies are already tailored to reflect the most beautiful appearance. The Y7 Pro on the rear packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a second 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. Delivering performance is the efficient and intelligent Qualcomm 450 Octa Core chipset with 3 GB RAM + 32 GB ROM, which can deliver a smooth experience while users are running multiple apps. It is a little surprising for Huawei to choose a Qualcomm chipset compared instead of Huawei’s own Hisilicon Kirin chip. The Y7 Pro 2019 supports up to 512 GB MicroSD card to store whatever users need. As for software, the Y7 Pro runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Powering the Y7 Pro is the impressive 4,000 mAh battery with AI power saving technology. Hence, users can travel worry-free and enjoy life without stopping to frequently recharge. Besides that, Face Unlock 2.0 can quickly unlock from multiple angles for a conveniently safe and secure way to protect user’s information. As a conclusion, the Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 is a great smartphone for budget users. It makes a good choice for elderly users, as well as any other users on a budget. The great display, attractive design and mid-range performance can definitely satisfy users who do simple tasks on their phone, such as messaging, browsing and streaming.
