Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro ECG smartwatch receives new update version 2.1.0.417
The Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro has received another update, firmware version 2.1.0.417, just weeks after version 2.1.0.415 launched worldwide. The October update for the smartwatch is 94.49 MB in size and is expected to be available globally; owners of the gadget in Turkey have already reported receiving the new software.
The change log notes support for a Running Ability Index (RAI) tool for indoor running has been added to the GT 3 Pro. The tool helps users to gauge their running form and endurance level. However, Huawei noted this feature as new in the previous update, 2.1.0.415; it is unclear why this tool has been listed as new in the latest update. The second and final improvement with firmware version 2.1.0.417 is for the alarms; you can now set up to ten alarms at once to match the feature on the Huawei Watch GT 3.
Huawei suggests that those wishing to download the latest software should ensure they have the newest version of the Health App. The company also notes that the update may take a while to download and install, with the gadget restarting on completion. This update is relatively minor compared to the earlier September release, which introduced ECG capabilities to the watch. Plus, the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is currently selling for the discounted price of £249 (~US$276) in Amazon’s Prime Early Access sale in the UK.
