Huawei has started distributing another update to the Watch GT 3 Pro, the second this month. To recap, Huawei finally introduced ECG capabilities for the Watch GT 3 Pro, which are also now available on the Watch D. Incidentally, the Watch D can now monitor blood pressure levels in more markets too. According to Huawei Blog, ECG functionality arrived for the Watch GT 3 Pro courtesy of Harmony OS 2.1.0.399, as well as version 12.1.7.310 of the Huawei Health app.
Subsequently, Huawei has introduced Harmony OS 2.1.0.415 for global Watch GT 3 Pro models. As the screenshot below shows, the new update is roughly a 95 MB download, which you can grab via the Huawei Health app on your paired smartphone. For reference, it remains unclear when Huawei intends to release Harmony OS 3. Unveiled in China, the OS update remains in beta in the company's home market.
As Huawei Blog notes, Harmony OS 2.1.0.415 only makes minor changes to the Watch GT 3 Pro. Specifically, Huawei has added Running Ability Index support for indoor running; previously, this feature was restricted to outdoor running. Arguably, this new functionality is of greater use now as outdoor temperatures start dropping. Also, the update optimises the UI for certain undisclosed features and supposedly optimises system stability in certain situations. Typically, Huawei takes a few weeks to distribute software updates, meaning that Harmony OS 2.1.0.415 may not be available on your Watch GT 3 Pro just yet.
