Huawei Mate 10 Pro heading to the US under the AT&T umbrella

Huawei concluded talks with AT&T a few months ago, and it looks like the Mate 10 will be the first device to benefit from that partnership. Only the Mate 10 Pro, though, as Huawei, once again, ignores the regular Mate 10 .

Huawei launched the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro flagships about a month ago, with both devices hitting China shortly after—and being set for a UK launch on November 17. The flagships may be set to make the trip over the pond to the US, however, and firmware files prove that they will be available exclusively on AT&T.

Earlier in the year, there were reports that the next Mate flagship—the Mate 10—would be the first to be available on AT&T, following a deal between the Chinese giants and the US telecommunications company. Like in the upcoming UK launch, it looks like only the Mate 10 Pro will be available, with Huawei mostly ignoring the regular Mate 10.

The firmware file is named BLA-A09-att-us, which is different from the regular international BLA-L09. It's based on Android 8.0 Oreo like the international version, but comes with a few other AT&T-specific apps, and Mozilla Firefox in addition to Google Chrome.

There are no specific dates for the US launch of the device but a CES 2018 announcement wouldn't be out of place, as that was when Huawei released information about the Mate 9's availability in the US earlier this year. Pricing is the same, unknown, but we expect it to come with an MSRP in the US$750 range—much like other recent flagships.
