Huawei IFA-Teaser: New Sub-Brand incoming?
The only thing we know for sure so far is that Huawei will join IFA this year yet again and hold a press conference September 1st at 10.30 am CEST. But rumors about new devices have been going around for days now, so here's a roundup of all the nice new things we could expect to see from Huawei during IFA 2016. First off, let's talk about the rumored successor to last year's Mate 8. The highend device is supposed to be the first one supporting Huawei's proprietary QuickCharge-alternative SuperCharge. It will probably be running on Huawei's next generation Kirin 960-SOC and might feature Dual-Cameras at the back. However, most likely, it won't be revealed during IFA just yet, instead it will probably launch much later in the year like his predecessor from 2015.
A fresh report from Malaysia however, might imply, that Huawei is starting yet another sub-brand next to its popular Honor-smartphone-brand. This brand could deliver midrange-devices and might be targeted primarily at women, according to Kevin Ho, president of the Consumer Business Group at Huawei. Roland Quandt, editor at the German Winfuture-Website, mentioned the Huawei MediaPad M3 8.0 featuring 4 GB RAM, 32 GB memory and optional LTE as coming to IFA this year. Of course a new smartwatch and the successor to the GX8 could also be part of this year's Huawei-IFA-lineup, we will know for sure in a couple of days.
