It's just such a cool date: Shortly before christmas business in October, IFA in Berlin is a great possibility to show off your latest PCs, laptops, tablets, accessories, VR products and smartphones. Meanwhile, the trade fair is growing every year and manufacturer Acer even dubbed it the most important event in Europe.
The first "Internationale Funkausstellung" was already 92 years ago and it just managed to transfer to modern time effordlessly. Since the first exhibition in 1924 with valve receivers and headphones, tech world has just changed so enormously: Today, you can conquer virtual worlds and take your computer with you wherever you go.
This year, new records are expected: From 2nd to 7th September there will be more than 1,645 companies on over 150,000 m² of exhibition area. The old trade fair grounds around the "Funkturm" in Berlin are becoming more and more cramped so there are several special events that are spread out through the city, e.g. a sepcial trading place for companies. Last year, orders worth more than 4,35 billion Euros have been placed at IFA.
So if you just have the slightest interest in TV, audio, smart home, smartphones, wearables, 3D printing, automotive, robotics, telecommunication, IT or electronical devices you should really get a first-hand impression in Berlin of the countless innovations.
