Honor is expanding its WIN gaming laptop portfolio with a powerhouse machine that features up to an RTX 5070 Ti and a Core Ultra 9 CPU. What’s more interesting is that it will feature a world’s first six-fan cooling setup.

Honor’s upcoming WIN series gaming laptop that was teased by the company last week comes with a unique solution to keep thermals in check. The Honor WIN Gaming Laptop H9 will be the world’s first to feature a six-fan cooling system in a typical gaming laptop form factor. The company has shared some features and statistics to back this feat, as well as some images giving a first look at the device.

The details were shared on Weibo through Honor’s official accounts and they show what seems to be a two intake and four exhaust fan setup. This would make the H9 a world’s first since the previous champ, the behemoth Acer Predator 21 X, had five fans in total. Honor’s WIN gaming laptop is a lot more compact and takes inspiration from some Lenovo Legion and Alienware gaming laptops.

This six-fan setup is said to deliver 10% better airflow which results in 2-degree Celsius lower temperatures around the keyboard surface. There are two larger intake fans at the bottom pulling in fresh air. The four smaller vertically placed exhaust fans pull the hot air and throw it out the back. This also pushes the overall power consumption to 270W. As for noise levels, real world tests will tell the full story.

These fans work in conjunction with Honor’s Gaming Turbo X and Phantom Engine tuning system. This makes use of dynamic overclocking and AI scheduling to optimize frame rates in games and overall performance in productivity tasks.

In terms of configurations, there seem to be two CPU+GPU combos. One has an Intel Core i7-14650HX with an RTX 5060, 16GB DDR5 memory, with either 512GB or 1TB SSD storage options. The top-tier variant is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus with an RTX 5070 Ti GPU. Pricing and global availability hasn’t been revealed just yet, but they will be unveiled in China on April 23.
