Reviews for the Honor 90 Lite
Source: Expert Reviews
The Honor 90 Lite finds itself competing in a surprisingly sparse mid-2023 cheap phone field, which instantly elevates it as a viable option. Thankfully, it doesn’t phone its performance in, with a well-balanced set of specs and a solid if unspectacular design. In all of the important areas, it acquits itself at least adequately (performance and display) and, occasionally, very well indeed (battery life, storage and main camera). There are issues with its cluttered UI and the lack of an included charger, as well as taking photos in anything other than optimal conditions, but if you’re after a competent and up-to-date phone for £250 or less, it will see you right.

The Honor 90 Lite comes with some great specs considering the price point. The main camera is also fantastic if you can ignore the secondary camera. The 100MP sensor is properly optimized by Honor to deliver some exceptional photographic capability. The same goes for the design and battery. They are all pretty good considering the price point. You even get 5G performance while for downsides. There is the absence of an AMOLED panel and better nits peak brightness. However, there are various other smartphones in the market in and around the same price point that even offer more than decent secondary cameras, including an ultra-wide camera. If you can live without secondary cameras and are okay with what you get with the Honor 90 Lite, then it’s an easy recommendation. But if you want an alternative smartphone with an ultra-wide camera, then you can also consider the Samsung Galaxy M34. However, the final decision is up to you to choose which is better. Choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.

For the price of PHP 12,990, the Honor 90 Lite has a lot to offer. You get a 100MP main camera, a decent chipset, and a relatively long-lasting battery size. But it doesn’t live up to the hype the Honor 90 built. There are several downsides to the Honor 90 Lite. One of them is the camera, which lacks OIS and is a bit lackluster when it comes to low-light shooting. At the same time, the performance is average at best. Not to mention, the screen isn’t the most beautiful since it’s not OLED. If you have the budget, I would still recommend getting the Honor 90. For it’s price point, you can’t go wrong with it. While the Honor 90 Lite is lighter on the wallet, it does lack the features and performance the Honor 90 comes with. But if your budget is limited, then the Honor 90 Lite is an okay phone. The only problem now is that it faces some serious competition in the segment; phones with OLED displays, stereo-loudspeakers, and more.

The Honor 90 Lite is a good phone. The phone features good specs but also manages to undercut some non-essential but expected features like the ultrawide camera quality and charging speed. It is not far behind the competition in terms of specifications but you can also get better phones from rival companies.

This mid-range offering from Honor is the latest to cross my desk. Based on the recent Honor 90 it’s a bang up to date offering for those whom a full priced unit is out of reach.

The Honor 90 Lite lands among the top half of our battery database with a very good global score thanks to its good autonomy and efficiency. When used moderately, the Honor 90 Lite lasted nearly 2.5 days. The autonomy was particularly good during the typical usage scenario, however, the performances of individual usages outdoors and indoors were mixed. The Honor 90 Lite showed poor autonomy when watching videos or when using the camera and calling, but autonomy was decent when scrolling social apps or gaming, and very good when to listening to music. However, the phone’s battery gauge was inaccurate, which could significantly affect the user experience. When the device displayed 20% and 100% of power left, the true measured capacity of the battery was around 15.5% and 95%, respectively.

With the Honor 90 Lite, you get a smartphone that looks good and offers good specs at a really great price. When it comes to affordable smartphones, there will always be some cost-saving exercises and omitting features such as 4K video and wireless charging from the Honor 90 Lite seem to be the way Honor has brought this phone in at closer to £200. The supporting cameras don't perform quite as well as the main shooter either but they're not terrible by any means. Overall, if you don't want to spend too much money on a smartphone the Honor 90 Lite is certainly worth looking at as it's definitely a mid-range winner in our eyes.

If you love streaming and watching, casual gaming and taking photos, the Honor 90 Lite is a mighty option at its price. The real headline act is its 256GB storage, but the supporting cast – the camera, performance, user experience and battery life – all hold the show together with gusto. While Honor’s affordable entry isn’t perfect – we would have loved an OLED screen, 4K video capture and better secondary cameras – none of those nice-to-haves hold the phone back from being at least very good in the ways it needs to be at its price.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

In 2014 Huawei created the sub brand Honor and offers certain smartphone series under this name. Occasionally the products are also called Huawei Honor.
The market share of Honor products is manageable, but there are several reviews on Honor smartphones with average ratings (as of 2016).
76.19%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
