Halo Infinite release date briefly outed by Microsoft Store listing
We still don't have a definite Halo Infinite release date yet, but it's somewhat easy to narrow down, given the developers' promises of a 2021 launch. It would be ideal if the game dropped on the 20th anniversary of the Halo franchise on November 15, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Italian publication Aggiornamenti Lumia has now discovered that Microsoft will unveil Halo Infinite on December 8.
The purported Halo Infinite release date briefly popped up on the game's Microsoft Store listing. For the most part, the Microsoft Store has accurately predicted a game's launch date, barring a few hiccups here and there. Thankfully, we have additional confirmation from The Verge's Tom Warren, who states that the alleged Halo Infinite launch date is correct.
Halo Infinite will come as a breath of fresh air to Xbox Series X|S owners, who have been waiting over a year for an exclusive title. Xbox Game Pass owners can play it for free on launch day, as well. Only the campaign and multiplayer modes will be playable at launch, though. Microsoft should tell us more about Halo Infinite at Gamescom.
