Reviews for the HP Victus 16-s0000ng

The HP Victus 16 is an inexpensive gaming laptop that fulfills its core mission. Even the most demanding modern titles like Cyberpunk 2077 will average 30 to 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution and high to maximum detail. Older titles, like Far Cry 6 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, will easily exceed 60 fps. Surprisingly, the Victus 16 also achieved the best battery life of any gaming laptop we’ve tested in 2023. Its 16-inch display and 5.51-pound weight mean it’s not exactly portable, but it’s a good choice if you want a gaming laptop that can handle a cross-country flight. So far, so good, but the Vicus 16 stumbles elsewhere. It’s a dull, unattractive laptop that feels flimsy when handled. The model we received also sticks to a 1080p display with a 60Hz refresh rate.

For me, the standout feature of the HP Victus 16 (AMD) wasn’t just its performance, although it is plenty powerful, but rather the power-efficient chip it houses. AMD’s latest 4nm chip makes this laptop one of the most efficient in its segment. If you are looking for a productivity-first and gaming laptop, we definitely recommend the HP Victus 16.
