Reviews for the HP Pavilion Gaming 15z-ec200
Source: PC Mag
Archive.org versionThe great GPU shortage of 2021 is affecting laptops as well as desktops, but there are still nifty gaming notebooks to be found for under $1,000. The Pavilion 15z-ec200 is an honorable contender, but it'd take a storage and graphics upgrade to make it a winner. If you're in the market for a reasonably priced gaming laptop that can deliver a lively 1080p playing experience, the Acer Nitro 5 and the MSI Bravo 15 are more compelling choices.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops based on the desktop GTX 1650 and therefore the Turing architecture (TU117 chip in 12nm FFN) without raytracing and Tensor cores. Available with 896 and 1024 shaders.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
