Deal | Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL get sizeable discounts

The second generation of Pixel devices was released a few months ago, with both devices—the pint-sized sibling in particular—staking valid claims to being the best Android devices on the market. Google is currently offering discounts on both devices, with prospective buyers able to nab any of the two for a tad cheaper right now.

Buyers in the US will be able to get discounts of US$50 on the smaller Pixel 2, taking the price tag from US$649 to US$599 for the 64 GB variant, and from US$749 to US$699 for the 128 GB model. The larger Pixel 2 XL gets a larger US$75 discount, with prices going from US$849 to US$774 for the 64 GB version, and from US$949 to US$874 for the 128 GB version.

Potential buyers in the UK also get discounts, with the Pixel 2 seeing a £50 price drop—£629 to £579 for the 64 GB variant, and £729 to £679 for the 128 GB one. The Pixel 2 XL gets a massive £100 discount, taking the price from £799 to £699 for the 64 GB version, and £899 to £799 for the 128 GB version.

The prices of the devices are still on the high side, even with the discounts considered, but if fluid software and the best possible camera on a smartphone are what you need, the Pixels are the only logical options. The smaller-sized Pixel 2, in particular, becomes a rather attractive proposition at that US$599 price point.
