Over the past few weeks, hype for the new God of War on the PlayStation 4 has been on a crescendo. It has finally hit a climax, though, with the game going on sale today. Sadly, it would seem that Amazon is having issues with the game, as it remains unavailable.
The game has been up for pre-order on Amazon for months. Sometime last week, however, its status changed to "Currently Unavailable". That's particularly annoying to Prime members who put off ordering the game till last week—perhaps while waiting for hands-on reviews—as they now miss out on the 20% pre-order discount.
God of War isn't the only game that has gone off Amazon's shelves. Both the God of War PS4 Pro bundle and the upcoming Spiderman game are also currently available. There have been rumors that Amazon and Sony are going through something of a tussle right now but there are first-party games like Horizon Zero Dawn, and even the new God of War Collector's and Stone Mason editions still listed.
Do note that Amazon UK has the game listed. Amazon US, however, only has physical copies available via third-party sellers, and at exorbitant prices. Digital copies are readily available.
