Following the budget-friendly Model O Eternal mouse, Glorious has once again expanded its portfolio, now focusing on the premium segment. The followup to its Model O2 and D2 series are here and they bring some interesting changes, both in terms of design and functionality. The Glorious Model O3 and D3, categorized as V3 mice, have both wired and wireless versions.
Glorious Model O3 Wireless and D3 Wireless
The wireless versions are more interesting since they bring the swappable battery system that Glorious is calling InfinitePlay. As per the lineage, the Model O3 Wireless is the ambidextrous and the Model D3 Wireless is the ergonomic offering, both of which have InfinitePlay. Glorious ships the mice with two swappable batteries but there is also a reserve called Guardian battery that can last 10+ hours. This means there is no down time, even when swapping batteries.
As for the battery life, the mice are rated for up to 71 hours with the 2.4 GHz connection and 130 hours over Bluetooth. It is unclear if the 71 hours is the total with both batteries or the runtime for just one battery.
The Wireless V3 Mice use the company’s BAMF 3.0 30K optical sensor and have 8K polling enabled by the multipurpose wireless base. The base unit not only connects the mouse and the PC but also charges the spare battery. They have six programmable buttons and while the O3 Wireless weighs 66 grams, the D3 Wireless weighs 69 grams.
The wired counterparts are even lighter at 54 grams and 57 grams respectively. They are limited to 1,000 Hz polling but carry the same sensor and switches.
