Epic Games Store officially announces first free games for October 2025

Epic Games Store is currently giving away Jorel's Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy and Eastern Exorcist. These two PC freebies will be available from September 25 to October 02, 2025, expiring at UTC 15:00. After that, the free games selection will be updated once again, and the storefront has revealed what's in store for next week.

As the refresh on the free games section reveals, in-game content worth $100 for Firestone Online Idle RPG and Nightingale will be available to claim from October 02. Among the two, Nightingale is a survival-crafting title that was released in 2024. It's set in a gaslamp fantasy world that's inspired by the Victorian era.

This upcoming Epic Games Store free game also has steampunk aesthetics, and per the players who have tried it, there are light RPG elements as well. The whole premise is set around the cataclysmic event, making the interdimensional travelers seek refuge.

It supports first-person and third-person modes, and up to six players can join in a co-op play mode. On Steam, Nightingale is worth $29.99, and it currently has a "Mostly Positive" rating with around 10 thousand reviews. However, some note that the co-op mode is not refined, and as it's in early access, there can be bugs.

As for Firestone Online Idle RPG, it's a free game that was released in 2019. This idle RPG puts players in a fantasy world of Alandria, in which the orc forces and undead have gathered to cause chaos. The core gameplay is mostly around the non-stop auto-battles that take place against them, and as an idle title, progress happens even when the players are offline.

There is a wide range of classes, and the developers keep the experience fresh by adding daily and weekly missions. It even has a PvP arena where players can fight against each other. Epic Games Store will offer the following in-game item for free during the giveaway period:
