Deal | Gigabyte AERO 14 OLED notebook with Intel i7-13700H and RTX 4050 drops to US$1,199.99
Thin and light content creator laptops with OLED screens usually come at a premium price, but this year’s Gigabyte AERO 14 is quite the exception, especially now that Newegg is offering a discount on its Ebay store. Add Gigabyte’s own US$100 rebate that applies to this model and you can now get the 3.28 lbs (1.48 kg) AERO 14 OLED specced with an Intel i7-13700H CPU and an Nvidia RTX 4050 dGPU at only US$1,199.99.
Despite its slim appearance with a 0.67-inch (1.7 cm) profile, this AERO 14 does not pack a lower-wattage U or P-series CPU. The i7-13700H can operate between 35 W and 115 W in boost mode as it reaches 5 GHz, plus it features 24 MB L3 cache and a total of 20 threads via the 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores. Furthermore, it is coupled with 16 GB LPDDR5-6400 RAM and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. On the graphics side, Gigabyte is providing an RTX 4050 mobile GPU with 6 GB VRAM and 45 W TGP.
The OLED display supports 2.8K resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 600 nit maximum brightness, and low blue light certification. Our review revealed that, even though the screen is pre-calibrated with an X-Rite device, the color accuracy begins to slightly fluctuate over 162 nits.
Port selection is robust for a 14-incher and includes 2x Thunderbolt 4 (no PD), 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI 2.1 video out, audio jack and microSD card reader. Wireless connectivity is offered through a Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.2 card. This model also comes with a 1080p IR webcam, 63 Wh battery and Twilight Silver color scheme.
