Garmin unveils surprising Pokémon watch faces, free for smartwatches including Fenix 8 and Forerunner 970

March 13 is World Sleep Day, a reminder of the importance of good sleep and how serious sleep disorders can become. Nintendo and Garmin have now teamed up to release two brand new watch faces for Garmin smartwatches, inspired by Nintendo's playful sleep tracking app Pokémon Sleep.
The two watch faces Pokémon Sleep: Snorlax & Friends and Pokémon Sleep: I Choose You are now available free of charge on Garmin Connect. Snorlax & Friends shows Snorlax and the starter Pokémon of the first Pokémon generation. During the day, Snorlax's pose indicates the body battery, i.e. how fit the user is according to the data collected by the smartwatch; at night, the pose is chosen at random.
In addition to the date and time, the watch face also offers space for three round complications that can be freely selected to display, for example, steps taken, heart rate or sleep tracking details directly on the watch face. The second watch face, called Pokémon Sleep: I Choose You, allows users to choose from a total of 48 different Pokémon. This watch face also adapts the pose of the Pokémon to the body battery, but the watch face offers space for five complications.
Both watch faces are compatible with numerous Garmin smartwatches, including the following models:
- Garmin Fenix 8 | Fenix 8 Pro
- Garmin Fenix E ($545. on Amazon)
- Garmin Forerunner 165 | 265 | 570 | 965 | 970
- Garmin Instinct 3
- Garmin Venu 2 | Venu 3 | Venu 4
- Garmin Vivoactive 5 | Vivoactive 6
