Casio M-Edition styled after Leica M cameras is now available

The Casio M-Edition, developed by British camera retailer PPP Cameras in collaboration with Casio, is finally available again after the watch was was quickly sold out after its launch in January. The digital watch can now be ordered again from PPP Cameras although delivery of new orders is not expected to start until May.
The watch is available in either silver or black and costs 160 GBP each. The retailer also ships internationally. However, the price does not include import sales tax and customs duty. The Casio M-Edition is technically practically identical to the well-known Casio AE-1200WHD ($49.99 on Amazon), but PPP Cameras has made numerous design adjustments, all of which were inspired by Leica M rangefinder cameras.
The round dial at the top left is colored red, as an allusion to the red dot on the Leica logo. The LED that illuminates the display in low light is also red instead of white, with which the manufacturer wants to allude to the red LED of a classic Leica M light meter. The watch comes with a leather strap that is reminiscent of the leather used on Leica M cameras, although the surface is much smoother than on most cameras.
Like the Casio AE-1200WHD, the Casio M-Edition should be water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters, meaning that the watch can also be worn while swimming. The battery should last for around 10 years with typical use. In addition to displaying the time and date, the digital watch can also set up to five alarms and display the time in up to four time zones
