Fujifilm X-H3 camera rumored to receive major changes and upgrades for video enthusiasts

Fujifilm currently offers two models in the X-H series, the Fujifilm X-H2 ($2,299 on Amazon) with a 40.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and the Fujifilm X-H2s, which makes do with a lower-resolution 26.2 megapixel APS-C sensor and therefore cannot record 8K videos, but this model is capable of 4K slow motion with up to 120 instead of just 60 frames per second.
According to the latest information from FujiRumors customers no longer have to choose between two options with the Fujifilm X-H3, and in any case have to accept a compromise. This is because Fujifilm is to merge the two camera series into one model that is aimed at both photographers and videographers. To make this possible, Fujifilm is to install a brand new, partially stacked X-Trans sensor in APS-C format, although the resolution of this sensor is not yet known.
In conjunction with a more powerful processor, numerous new video innovations are to be made possible. FujiRumors has not yet provided any details. The Fujifilm X-H2 can already be combined with an optional fan to prevent overheating even at high ambient temperatures, while the integrated cooling system should enable 160 minutes of uninterrupted 8K recording. The camera can already record video in Apple ProRes and oversample 8K video to 4K resolution for higher image quality. The Fujifilm X-H3 is expected to be launched in 2027, along with new accessory products for video enthusiasts.
