Garmin is rolling out the beta version 24.04 update for the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 smartwatches. This release arrives a month after the stable system software 23.20, which added new device passcode and breathing variations tools.
The change log for beta version 24.04 lists a range of bug fixes. An issue that occurred when Forerunner smartwatch users tried to load a workout and course simultaneously has been resolved. Also fixed is a problem with activity charts for particularly long activities. For the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965, a bug which resulted in missing breathing variations data has been resolved.
Listed in the release notes for the Forerunner 165 and Forerunner 255 is a bug fix linked to display issues when users attempted to scroll to Connect IQ glances. The Forerunner 255 and Forerunner 955 watches get fixes for issues with the analog watch face and the passcode prompt. There is also a resolution for a problem with altimeter calibration for the Back Country Ski activity, though this is only for the Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 (curr. from $499.99 at Amazon). The Garmin beta version 24.04 update is currently rolling out to Forerunner smartwatch users. You can manually download the update by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates.
