The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to be the successor to the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which currently retails for $399 on Amazon. Shortly after high-res render images of the upcoming Samsung smartwatch emerged online, an apparent prototype of the wearable has now been listed on eBay with a starting bid of just $150.
The eBay listing also provides the first real photos of the smartwatch, which sports a square case and a circular display, just like the aforementioned Galaxy Watch Ultra. What's new is that the bezel seemingly protrudes from the case. The bezel on the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will likely be rotatable and can be used to scroll through lists or to zoom in on photos and maps, for instance.
The silver case features three buttons on the right side and openings for speakers and microphones on the left. Unfortunately, the sensors on the back are not visible as they’re covered by a sticker. However, the inscriptions on the back already confirm the model number “SM-L505U”, an integrated LTE modem and the robust sapphire crystal display cover. Furthermore, the case measures 46mm in diameter and is water-resistant up to 5 ATM.
According to the eBay listing, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic has 64GB of storage and therefore twice as much as the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Supposedly, the watch is not usable just yet because it can’t be paired and is not supported by Samsung’s Wearable app thus far. According to earlier rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will be powered by the Samsung Exynos W1000, which was already featured in Samsung’s previous smartwatches.
