Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition: Samsung reveals limited edition foldable smartphone with custom design, new accessories and a 'new UX design'
Samsung has announced a new version of the Galaxy Z Flip4. Teased approximately two weeks ago, the new version is a limited edition collaboration with Maison Margiela, a French fashion house. Predictably, Samsung has called the model the 'Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition'.
Supposedly 'subversive', Samsung claims that the limited edition Galaxy Z Flip4 also combines 'cutting-edge technology with haute couture'. Specifically, the Maison Margiela Edition has a custom colourway, which Samsung describes as the fashion house's 'signature solid white colour with a matte finish... [and] a drop of grey to create the optimal shade of white'. Additionally, the limited edition smartphone features a matte silver white frame but the same black finish around its cover display.
Moreover, Samsung includes two phone cases, both with Maison Margiela's four stitches emblem. According to Samsung's press release, while the cases share this trait, one is leather, while the other appears to be painted plastic. Separately, Samsung states that the Maison Margiela Edition features a 'completely new UX design', although this seems to extend to custom icon and wallpaper packs. Currently, Samsung has not revealed pricing for the Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition. However, the smartphone will be available from December 1 in France, Hong Kong and South Korea.
