X leaker @ChunVN8888 chimed in with some extra information. Apparently, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with the 5,500 mAh battery that charges at 65 Watts.
Original article continues as follows:
Now that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are out of the way, it is time to focus on Samsung's next big smartphone launch: the Galaxy S26 series. The rumour mill is already hard at work churning out speculation after speculation about the high-end smartphones. Noted X leaker Ice Universe has some good news for prospective Galaxy S26 Ultra buyers.
It will finally get a much-needed spec bump in terms of charging wattage. Samsung's flagships have been notoriously stuck at 45 Watts for decades, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra might finally increase that to an unspecified figure. 65 Watts seems like an ideal sweet spot, and knowing Samsung's conservative approach to smartphone batteries after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, that's about as far as the company might push its high-end smartphones.
Unfortunately, the actual battery might still be stuck at 5,000 mAh. Of course, that leaves us with one glaring question: will the regular Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ also benefit from the above upgrade? Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is slated to get more than just a charging speed bump. It might be the first Samsung smartphone to launch with a 1-inch sensor, although the same has been said about previous Ultra devices before.
