GTA 6 physical discs will be available for purchase, but there’s a catch

After months of waiting, Rockstar has finally announced the price and pre-orders for GTA 6. There were two significant surprises that came with the announcements, one being the Ultimate Edition locked content, and the other being no physical disc. Now, new information has suggested that the latter may only be temporary.
PPE, a Polish outlet, has revealed that the physical discs for GTA 6 will be released at some point after launch. The outlet has shared a screenshot of what is said to be a Rockstar customer service response about the code and physical disc for the game. It states that the physical copy will be available in the "following months."
The outlet also cites a leaker it trusts, and the leaker mentioned something similar about the physical disc releasing at some point after launch.
While this doesn’t give a timeline on when the GTA 6 discs will arrive, they could be available as soon as December, if not, then early 2027. It should be noted that this is just speculation at this point.
Pre-order bonus dilemma
Fans were somewhat disappointed to learn that there will not be a physical disc in their GTA 6 order. Instead, the physical copies will only come with a code that can be redeemed on either the PlayStation or Xbox store. However, those who wait for the physical discs to come out will miss out on the pre-order bonuses, which include the Vintage Vice City Pack and a free month of GTA+. So, does having a physical copy of the game trump the pre-order bonuses? Let us know in the comments below.
