GTA 6 or the real Miami? This image comparison makes fans look twice

Reddit user u/Alex200496 has compared a screenshot from GTA 6 with a real photograph taken in Miami. The photo was reportedly taken at Joia Beach on Watson Island, located in Biscayne Bay between Downtown Miami and Miami Beach. Although the two images don't line up perfectly, contrary to what the Reddit post suggests, they still make for an interesting comparison.

The real photo is, of course, the bottom image. For fans who have already seen the screenshot countless times, the difference was easy to spot. However, many Reddit users also admitted that they couldn't distinguish the real photo from the GTA 6 screenshot at first glance. A closer look, though, reveals several clues that give the game away.
What gives the screenshot away?
The most obvious clue is the water. While Rockstar has done an impressive job rendering it, the surface still looks a little too uniform compared to real water. The noticeably sparser vegetation in the screenshot is another giveaway. Anyone familiar with Miami's skyline should also be able to spot the difference fairly quickly. Reddit users point out that the One Thousand Museum and 900 Biscayne skyscrapers are missing.
Although Vice City isn't an exact replica of Miami, its graphics appear convincing enough to fool some viewers at first glance. Whether GTA 6 (available for pre-order on Amazon) will impress everyone visually remains to be seen, especially in light of a recent community discussion. Did you recognize the screenshot right away?
