GTA 6 may just end up getting PS5 Pro optimizations

Rockstar and PlayStation have confirmed the pre-load date and download size for GTA 6. The game is going to be massive, and PS5 owners will have to do some reorganizing if they want to start downloading on November 10. But what about PS5 Pro owners? Could there be any kind of benefit for the more powerful hardware? Fans believe it could be announced before the November 19 launch.

The PlayStation Blog was updated today, November 3, with information about GTA 6’s pre-load date and its 212 GB download size. At the end, the “Stay tuned for more” section states there will be more information about the game as we approach the November 19 launch date. A fan account that has been posting information about GTA 6 believes that this pertains to PS5 Pro optimizations.

Till now, there has been no official information on the performance of GTA 6 on PS5 Pro, which has led fans to believe that it will be no different than the base PS5, i.e., 30 FPS. There are people who have been eyeing the PS5 Pro to get ready for the game, but seeing as how it won’t offer any particular performance benefits, that seems pointless. However, there are still some who believe PlayStation could announce improved performance on the PS5 Pro.

Some others believe that the information could be about PSSR2 in GTA 6. Some others believe it could get a performance mode that takes the FPS up to 40 or even 60. A few believe that the game would still be locked at 30 FPS on the Pro but run at a slightly higher resolution.

That said, neither Rockstar nor PlayStation has hinted that there will be any performance benefits on the PS5 Pro yet. Since there are only 16 days left before launch, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
