Fujifilm unveils two affordable QuickSnap compact cameras using 35mm film

The Fujifilm QuickSnap is a classic disposable camera – once the film, which allows for a maximum of 27 exposures, has been used up, the camera is sent to a photo lab to have the pictures developed. Afterward, the camera is unusable and should be disposed of. This is nostalgic, but by no means environmentally friendly.
The QuickSnap series now gets two new additions. The QuickSnap Active is waterproof up to a depth of 10 meters and can therefore even take photos underwater. The shutter button has been replaced by a lever, allowing the camera to be operated even while wearing gloves. The QuickSnap Active uses 35mm color film with an ISO of 800. The QuickSnap Active does not have a built-in flash, so taking photos at night is virtually impossible.
The QuickSnap Black and White is not waterproof, but it does feature a built-in flash. This model uses black-and-white film with a sensitivity of ISO 400. Both QuickSnap models can take 27 photos. The lens cannot be focused and is designed to capture sharp images of objects in a distance between one and three meters. The cameras feature a simple optical viewfinder, a shutter button, a film advance wheel, and an indicator showing how many photos are left on the film.
Pricing and availability
The Fujifilm QuickSnap Black and White will be released in fall 2026 for $22.90, the QuickSnap Active will launch at the same time for $24.75. The older QuickSnap model costs $21.99 on Amazon.
