Dispute resolved: Hasselblad X2D II finally supports Capture One

Anyone who buys a Hasselblad X2D II has been able to process photos in apps like Adobe Lightroom or Hasselblad’s own Phocus Mobile software, but not in Capture One, the app of choice for many professional photographers.
According to Capture One, the reason for this is a "notoriously antagonistic" relationship between the two companies, which have been competing in the medium-format camera market for decades. The two companies have apparently now resolved their differences, as Capture One officially supports photos taken with Hasselblad cameras effective immediately. Initially, Capture One supports the Hasselblad X2D 100C, the X2D II 100C, and the CFV 100C, but not older models with a 50-megapixel sensor.
Capture One includes color profiles specifically developed for each of the three supported cameras, while lens profiles can correct distortion and vignetting, among other things. Although photographers can use all editing tools on Hasselblad RAW files, tethering is not yet available. However, this feature is scheduled to be added by the end of 2026, so that Hasselblad cameras can be connected directly to a computer running Capture One in the future to transfer photos in real time during a shoot.
Pricing and availability
Capture One supports Hasselblad cameras starting with version 16.8.3. Hasselblad users can try Capture One for free for 7 days. After that, Capture One costs either €32 per month with a subscription or a one-time fee of €391. However, the perpetual license does not include any updates, if you need support for new cameras, you’ll have to purchase a new license.
