Deal | For anyone who loves MMOs but could do without the people: 94% positive offline MMO under $14 on Steam

At first glance, Erenshor looks like a classic fantasy MMO, featuring an open world, quests, guilds and dungeons. Instead of real players, though, it's filled with so-called SimPlayers – AI-driven NPCs that behave remarkably human-like. If you enjoy MMO-style gameplay but prefer to avoid real-world interaction, this could be the game for you. For more details, you can take a look at our article on the Early Access launch in April 2025.
Since launch, the simulated MMO has been met with strong player support. Nearly 1,800 Steam reviews have been posted so far, with 94% of them positive. Players praise the solo MMO concept and the believable behavior of the SimPlayers – they level up, collect loot, join guilds, plan raids and even chat. For many, the game's retro charm brings back memories of classics like EverQuest, Ultima Online or early World of Warcraft.
Players familiar with modern MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV or The Elder Scrolls Online might miss quality-of-life features such as active quest tracking or a clean, intuitive UI. Visually, Erenshor sticks to the basics, with a simple look and feel. On the plus side, this keeps system requirements low – it even holds a "Playable" rating on the Steam Deck (currently priced around $590 on Amazon).
First-ever 30% discount
Erenshor usually sells for $19.99 on Steam. According to SteamDB, past discounts have topped out at 20%. For the first time, a 30% discount is now available, bringing the price down to $13.99. The deal runs until February 14.
