Flip 1S: Ayaneo confirms release date for new clamshell gaming handhelds

Ayaneo has finally confirmed the official launch date for the Flip 1S DS and KB after teasing the pair's arrival earlier this week. For reference, the company has already revealed various key device specifications such as the presence of an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU and a 144 Hz OLED display. In that sense, the Flip 1S KB should rival the similar GPD Win Mini 2025 (curr. $1,509 on Amazon) when it comes to performance.

Now, Ayaneo suggests that both gaming handhelds will officially launch on July 10. Although its latest social media post does not confirm as much, Ayaneo intends to fund the Flip 1S DS and Flip 1S KB via Indiegogo initially. To that end, the company has already posted the pair's crowdfunding campaign for people to view ahead of time.

Unfortunately, pricing still remains a mystery for both devices. For context, the Flip KB launched last January for $699 or $739 for its AMD Ryzen 7 8840U counterpart. By contrast, the Flip DS debuted for $739 with a Ryzen 7 7840U and $779 with a Ryzen 7 8840U APU. Ayaneo will kick off its July 10 launch event at 12:00 UTC.
