First live video of the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 gaming phone surfaces as launch looms
Xiaomi’s Black Shark gaming phone was released earlier in the year, and the company is set to launch a direct successor to the device soon. The Black Shark 2 made an appearance at TENAA a few weeks ago but it could be much closer to launch than expected, as a live video has revealed the device in all its glory.
The term “all its glory” is used loosely here, as the video doesn’t actually do a good job of telling us what to expect from the Xiaomi gaming device. It only tells us that such a device, indeed, exists, and is in a finished state—or at least something close to that.
The only other takeaways are the RGB logo proudly displayed on the device’s front-end, which is, of course, a not-so-subtle allusion to its gaming heritage, like we didn’t already know that. No other major details can be gleaned from the 7-second video, and the 360p max resolution probably doesn’t help.
To corroborate the video, a poster has surfaced online claiming that the Black Shark 2 will be launched on October 23. That’s only six days away, thankfully, so we don’t have to wait for much longer.
