Samsung Exynos 9611 vs Mediatek Helio G70 vs Samsung Exynos 9609

Samsung Exynos 9611

► remove from comparison Samsung Exynos 9611

The Samsung Exynos 9611 (or Exynos 7 Series 9611) is a mid-range SoC for Android based smartphones and tablets. It integrates 8 processor cores in two clusters (bigLITTLE concept). Four ARM Cortex A73 cores at up to 2.3 GHz for demanding tasks and four ARM Cortex A53 at up to 1.7 GHz for power efficiency. Compared to the older Exynos 9610, the 9611 supports higher resolutions for the rear faced camera.

The integrated LTE modem supports 4G at up to 600 Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload. Furthermore, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 are also integrated in the chip.

The on-board ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card offers three clusters and support for Vulkan, DirectX 12 and OpenGL ES 3.2.

The Exynos 9611 is manufactured in the modern 10nm FinFET process and therefore relatively power efficient and also suited for smaller smartphones.

Mediatek Helio G70

► remove from comparison Mediatek Helio G70

The Mediatek Helio G70 is a mainstream ARM SoC for smartphones (mainly Android based) that was introduced in 2020. It is manufactured in a 12 nm FinFET process and integrates 8 CPU cores. Two fast ARM Cortex-A75 cores with up to 2 GHz for performance tasks and six small ARM Cortex-A55 with up to 1.7 GHz for efficiency. All eight cores can be used together thanks to Heterogeneous Multi-Processing support. The integrated GPU is a ARM Mali-G52 MC2 (MP2) with two clusters at up to 820 MHz. The SoC also integrates the HyperEngine that handles a dynamic management of CPU, GPU and memory.

Compared to the slightly faster Helio G80, the difference to the G70 is the slightly lower clock speed for the A55 cores (-100 MHz) and GPU (-130 MHz).

The SoC integrates furthermore a LTE radio with Cat-7 (download) / Cat-13 (upload) support, Wifi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.0, LPDDR4x 1800 MHz and eMMC 5.1 storage.

Samsung Exynos 9609

► remove from comparison Samsung Exynos 9609

The Samsung Exynos 9609 (or Exynos 7 Series 9609) is a mid-range SoC for Android based smartphones and tablets. It integrates 8 processor cores in two clusters (big.LITTLE concept). Four ARM Cortex A73 cores at up to 2.2 GHz for demanding tasks and four ARM Cortex A53 at up to 1.6 GHz for power efficiency. Compared to the older Exynos 9610, the 9609 offers 100 MHz less clock speed for both clusters.

The Exynos 9609 is manufactured in the modern 10nm FinFET process and therefore relatively power efficient and also suited for smaller smartphones.
