Epson has released the Lifestudio Grand EH-LS670, a new ultra-short throw (UST) projector, in Europe. Designed for the home theater, this model is said to deliver immersive gaming or movie-watching experiences. It builds on the original EH-LS670, which was released in 2023, with a series of upgrades.
The Lifestudio Grand EH-LS670 is a 4K laser projector, with 3-chip 3LCD technology and up to 3,600 lumens brightness (color IDMS-rated and white ISO-rated), matching its predecessor. The model can throw images up to 120 inches wide, with the same 0.25-0.62:1 throw ratio and support for HDR10. However, it is said to offer a higher dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, double that of the original model.
Epson’s Lifestudio Grand EH-LS670 has built-in Google TV, in place of the older Android TV interface. Plus, connectivity options have been upgraded to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It features a Game Mode with 20 ms input lag and two HDMI (HDCP 2.3) ports. Through the Epson setting assistant app, your smartphone camera can be used to automatically adjust the image fit. On top of this, the Yamaha speakers have been switched out for a new Sound By Bose 2.1 channel 20W sound system.
You can now buy the Epson Lifestudio Grand EH-LS670 projector in Europe for £2,200.00/€2,299.99, making it cheaper than the original version. Customers can choose between metallic black and diamond white colorways. Whether or when it could be released in other markets is unclear.
