EA announces Anthem Alpha test schedule
Anthem is a highly-anticipated co-op ARPG game set in a sci-fi universe that will be released on February 22 2019. Of course, the fact that it is produced by EA has stirred up some controversies regarding the existence of loot crates and such schemes, but EA promised that there will not be any of this nonsense in Anthem. The game will be buy-to-play and the in-game shop will only sell cosmetic items and quality of life features. Anthem’s General Manager Casey Hudson recently announced that the game is playable from home for the developers, which is a very important step towards the Alpha test. Today, the Alpha signup page went live and those interested in participating in the test can request access through a questionnaire.
Executive Producer Mark Darrah tweeted that this Alpha test will have a limited number of spots available, so if you want to take part in it, better hurry with the request. The questionnaire will ask you if you would be available on both December 8 and 9 and the preferred period of the day you would be able to play. Before the questionnaire, in case the chosen gaming platform was PC (the test will be available on consoles, as well), participants would get the minimum requirements which include:
• OS: 64-bit Windows 10
• PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD FX-6350
• MEMORY: 8GB RAM
• VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB, AMD R9 390 8GB
• HARD DRIVE: At least 60 GB of free space
Individuals that do not get selected for the Alpha test may opt to pre-order the game in order to test it in early February. For more info on game features, gameplay and dev discussions you can check out Anthem’s official Twitch page.
