Bethesda and id Software have revealed the PC system requirements for Doom: The Dark Ages PC. Like its predecessor, it isn't very demanding and can easily run on any PC built in the past few years.

Bethesda and id Software just showed off Doom: The Dark Ages at its Developer Direct promotion. You can play it on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series S|X on May 15 (or May 13 if you're willing to pay extra). Its PC system requirements have been revealed.

The barrier to entry for Doom: The Dark Ages is relatively low on the CPU front, demanding a Ryzen 7 3700X/Core i7-10700K. Any 8 GB VRAM such as the GeForce RTX 2060/Radeon RX 6600 will do. On top of this, you'll need 32 GB RAM and 100 GB of hard drive space, which, by modern standards, is on the lower end.

Unlike Indiana Jones and the Great Circle that ran the idtech 7 engine, Doom: The Dark Ages will debut its successor: idtech 8. But, this doesn't come with much of an increased hardware demand. You can play at 1440p with a GeForce RTX 3080/Radeon RX 6800 and Core i7-12700K/Ryzen 7 5700X.

As expected, 4K will require some beefy hardware, such as a GeForce RTX 4080/Radeon RX 7900 XT. But, CPU requirements remain the same as 1440p. All in all, Doom: The Dark Ages is shaping up to be one of the better optimized games to launch in 2025. Idsoft omitted some key details about PC-specific features, but those will likely be revealed closer to launch.
