COMPUTEX 2017 | Dell launch new Inspiron gaming desktop
Gaming desktops may not be popular, as most prefer to build theirs, but that hasn't stopped Dell from launching a new Inspiron gaming desktop.
The new desktop is built with gaming enthusiasts in mind, a fact evidenced by its impressive showings on various benchmarks. It will feature the latest AMD multicore Ryzen processors, with Sense MI for more efficient power consumption, task routing, and all-round better performance and responsiveness. Sense MI's eXtended Frequency Range adjusts clock speeds to match the cooling system's thermal headroom, allowing the APU to run at higher temperatures with lower risk of damage.
It comes with options allowing for power supply of up to 850W with support for two GPU's, "Ready for VR" configurations with AMD or NVIDIA® cards, and up to 32GB of DDR4 memory. It's also equipped with Waves MaxxAudio® Pro with Performance 7.1 Channel HD audio, media card reader, high-capacity hard drives with responsive SSD and dual-drive options, and advanced cooling components. AMD Ryzen versions also feature a SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ port up-front and up to six SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports.
The desktop achieved an impressive 6875 score on VRMark Orange and 14986 for 3DMark11 Performance when equipped with the Radeon™ RX 580, AMD Ryzen™ 7 1700X Processor, and 16GB of RAM.
It will retail with a starting price tag of $600.
