Dell adds extremely affordable 27-inch gaming monitors with 240 Hz refresh rate and 99% sRGB coverage

Dell has welcomed two new members to its lineup of affordable gaming monitors - the SE2726HGS, and the SE2726HG. Complicated naming aside, the two new monitors appear to be quite well-equipped for gamers who do not wish to spend a fortune on a new display.
The primary difference between the HG and HGS variants lies in adjustment capabilities - in simpler terms, the HGS features height and swivel adjustment support, while the vanilla HG does not. As the minimal naming suggests, both the monitors feature the same panel. The 27-inch IPS display sports a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

As can be expected from a typical Fast IPS panel without local dimming, contrast performance is nothing to write home about, with a claimed 1000:1 ratio. Dell also claims response time of 1 ms (extreme mode), as well as 99% coverage of the sRGB color gamut. Needless to say, whether or not Dell's claimed numbers match reality will only be revealed after the gaming monitors reach reviewers' hands. But on paper, they do look promising considering the price, which we'll get to later.
The Dell SE2726HGS, with the aforementioned ergonomic adjustment capabilities, is priced at $170. The SE2726HG, on the other hand, is substantially more affordable, at just $140. Interestingly, Amazon has already discounted the HG variant to just $120.
Other features of the products include eye comfort technology with low blue light emissions, dual HDMI ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and AMD FreeSync support.
