Compact Office worker. The successor of the Vostro 3450 (Sandy Bridge, AMD Radeon HD 6630M) comes with an Ivy Bridge CPU and Nvidia's GeForce GT 630M GPU. Our review shows whether the Vostro 3460 can outperform its precursor using this combination.

The screen prevents us recommending this, but if you need a Windows 10 laptop on a limited budget it might do the job.

To be honest, the Vostro 3568 doesn’t go too far from the previously reviewed Vostro 3559, which was kind of a disappointment. It inherits the poor build quality, spongy keyboard and underpowered GPU. We honestly think that if Dell decided to just go with the integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 620) on the Core i5-7200U, which is the main key selling point of the product anyway, it would have been a lot better. This would have save power and it would have taken a few bucks off the price of the machine. You can clearly see from the benchmarks that the Intel HD Graphics 620 is, in some cases if not all, more powerful than the Radeon R5 M420X.

Boring. Staid. Plain. These words can all be used to describe Dell’s latest Vostro laptop, but they’d be missing the point. This is a business workhorse first and foremost, designed to deliver the goods at the most affordable price point and get the job done. It’s not flashy or designer-delivered; this is a pure business laptop that stacks in some very healthy hardware for a great price.

The Dell Vostro 15 7580 is a multi-purpose device. First of all, it’s a good office computer – it has a comfortable keyboard and lots of connectivity options. Second, it can be used as some sort of a mobile workstation – with up to a six-core Core i7-8750H (that behaves ok), you can’t get much better in a notebook (with the exception for the Core i9 or Ryzen 7 desktop CPUs). Third, with up a GTX 1060 Max-Q with 6 GB of GDDR5, the Vostro 15 7580 becomes a pretty capable gaming notebook.

In 2023, Dell had an approximate 17% market share of global PC sales, ranking #3 after Lenovo and HP.
For gaming enthusiasts, Dell's Alienware brand is for gaming notebooks.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M:
Multiple models based on various chips of the Fermi generation. Specifically, the GT 630M exists in GF108/GF106/GF116 variants, but are all essentially renamed GeForce GT 540M or 555M GPUs. A 28nm GF117 variant exists as well with reduced power consumption.
Intel HD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2) found on some Kaby-Lake CPU models (15 W ULV series).
Intel HD Graphics 520: Integrated GPU (GT2) with 24 EUs found on some Skylake CPU models (15 W ULV series).
NVIDIA GeForce 940MX: Mid-range laptop graphics card based on the Maxwell architecture. Compared to the older 940M, the MX now also supports GDDR5 graphics memory and maybe slightly faster clock speeds.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mobile: Mainstream graphics card based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture and successor to the GeForce GTX 965M. Is manufactured in a 14nm process at Samsung and the technical specifications are very similar to the desktop version.
These graphics cards are not suited for Windows 3D games. Office and Internet surfing however is possible.
unknown:
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q: Efficient high end graphics card for thin and light laptops based on the same GP106 chip as the normal GTX 1060 for laptops but at slower clock speeds. Offers a approx. 15% lower performance but much lower power consumption.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
AMD Radeon R5 M420: Entry level dedicated graphics card featuring 320 shader cores (5 CUs) clocked at 780 - 850 MHz.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
0.00218 kg:
2.83 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
79.33%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
