Dell Latitude 5455 launches later this year with Snapdragon X Plus
The Dell Latitude 5455 is now official, and it comes with one of the new ARM-based processors from Qualcomm. More specifically, it packs the Snapdragon X Plus, which puts the laptop in the middle-of-the-line mark and positions it lower than the Snapdragon X Elite systems.
While we are yet to see proper benchmarks against Intel’s new Core Ultra processors, as per the announcement, the Latitude 5455 does bring an improvement in terms of the build. Compared to the Meteor Lake-based Latitude 5450 (curr. starts at $1,209), the new laptop is on the thinner side, resulting in better portability.
However, the pictures shared by Dell show that the Latitude 5455 has a minimal number of ports. The laptop has two USB Type-C (likely Thunderbolt 4), one USB Type-A, one microSD card reader, and one headphone jack. The company hasn’t shared any other details on the laptop yet.
As for the availability, Dell says that the laptop will be available “later this year.” Pricing-wise, as it’s coming with Snapdragon X Plus, it will likely have a lower tag than the Latitude 7455, which features a more capable Snapdragon X Elite processor.
