IFA 2024 | Dell Latitude 5455 arrives later this month in Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 and X1P-42-100 options
Dell first made the Snapdragon X Plus-powered Latitude 5455 official back in May this year but did not provide much info on the specifications or availability. That changes today at IFA 2024 as the company readies the device for retail availability later this month.
The Latitude 5455 can be considered as the business version of the Insprion 14 5441. You get options of the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 and X1P-42-100 that can be paired with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X-8448 RAM and up to 1 TB of M.2 2230 NVMe storage. The device also sports the same 14-inch FHD+ non-touch IPS panel as its Inspiron 14 cousin.
Being a business-centric device, Dell offers several security features on the Latitude 5455 including SafeBIOS, IR biometric login, optional fingerprint reader in the power button, camera privacy shutter, and optional security hardware authentication bundles.
Customers can also configure additional hardware security measures including a chassis intrusion switch, hard drive wipes, and tamper-evident packaging along with software measures such as Crowdstrike (ahem!), Secureworks, and Netskope.
The Latitude 5455 uses Qualcomm's FastConnect 7800 Wi-Fi 7 WLAN card with Bluetooth 5.4 for fast wireless networking. Additionally, users also get 2x USB4 Type-C 40 Gbps ports, 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A with Power Share, a microSD card reader, and a combo audio jack.
Dell does not generally provide pricing information for its business portfolio in the press release, but customers can configure and purchase the Latitude 5455 directly at Dell.com from September 24.
