DJI Mavic 3 renders leak showing Hasselblad branding as prospective release date emerges
The DJI Mavic 3 leaked last month, with a Brazilian YouTuber revealing drawings and details of DJI's next drone. The company has since launched the Osmo Mobile 5, a new gimbal that is lighter than its predecessor, albeit with inferior battery life.
Now, @DealsDrone has published Mavic 3 renders, which we have embedded above and below. It appears that the renders originate from Chinese social media that @DealsDrone has then re-published. @DealsDrone has not cited their sources, for some reason. However, DroneDJ claims to have verified them with a Chinese source who has 'his finger close to the pulse of this project'. Supposedly, the camera module portion is accurate, which shows Hasselblad branding.
The branding matches last month's leak, which claimed that the Mavic 3 would feature two cameras. Reputedly, the drone's main camera will shoot videos in up to 5.7 K, with the second camera dedicated to providing up to 7x optical zoom. The Mavic 3 is expected to come with 1 TB of internal storage and up to a 6,000 mAh battery, too.
DJI has not started teasing the Mavic 3 yet. Nevertheless, DroneDJ reports that the company has stopped producing the Mavic 2 Pro, which the Mavic 3 will probably replace. The website adds, citing its Chinese source, that DJI will release the Mavic 3 in October or November 2021.
