Critically-acclaimed modern RPG game recieves Steam Deck Verified rating ahead of PC launch

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was first launched on PS5 in February of last year, and right ahead of the PC port launch, Square Enix announced that the RPG game received the Steam Deck Verified compatibility rating. This means it will run smoothly on the gaming handheld without requiring any additional adjustments.

For those who missed it, the PC port of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to launch on January 23, 2025. Its PS5 launch has been deemed successful by critics, receiving an overall of 92 points on Metacritic. Most of the reviews have praised its stunning visuals, and as Square Enix has just showcased, the game looks great even on the Steam Deck.

If you haven't played the game on the PlayStation 5, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth continues from the original storyline. It introduces new twists but has familiar locations and characters. Each of these characters has expanded backstories in the latest entry of the series.
