The first Claas pedelec has arrived in Europe via Potts e-Bikes. The specialist, based in Germany, appears to have acquired a license to sell electric bicycles on the continent under the Claas brand name, typically associated with agricultural machinery.
The Claas trekking e-bike has a mid-mounted Bosch Performance Line smart motor powered by a 625Wh removable battery locked away within the frame. Other parts include a Gates Carbon Belt Drive CDX and an Enviolo TR gear hub for stepless and automatic shifting. An RST Volar TNL-F suspension and suspension seat post, which is allegedly patented, help to make your ride more comfortable, while Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide shorter stopping distances.
You can view information about your ride on the attached Bosch Kiox 500 display and transport luggage on the rear rack. Accessories like mudguards, a kickstand and a headlight are also included. The e-bike’s colors reflect the Claas branding, with a red accent on the 27.5-inch wheels fitted with Schwalbe Johnny Watts tires. The frame is green, coming in step-through and step-over versions in various sizes. The Claas e-bike will launch in Spring 2024 with a recommended retail price of €4,990. The model will be available via specialist dealers, like Pott e-Bikes, across Europe.
