Casio is kicking off 2026 with a fresh batch of Beside collection watches, and if you're unfamiliar, this is a line that shows the brand’s more traditional, dress-leaning side. These new models look quite faithful to the Beside formula - classic analog layouts, sapphire crystal, and straightforward quartz movements, without any sports or smart features.
The newly launched references include BMS-100L-5AV, BMS-100D-8AV, BMS-100L-1AV, BMS-100D-7AV, and BMS-100D-1AV, alongside a slightly more complex set made up of BMS-300L-5AV, BMS-300L-1AV, BMS-300D-1AV, and BMS-300D-7AV. Across both groups, Casio is giving customers a mix of stainless-steel bracelets and leather straps, with dial colors ranging from black and white to gray and champagne tones.
In terms of build, all these Beside models share a stainless steel case and bezel with a sapphire crystal, which is still relatively uncommon at this price level in Casio’s lineup. Case dimensions are listed at 46 × 40.7 × 10.1 mm, with bracelet-equipped versions weighing 119 g and leather strap versions coming in noticeably lighter at 55 g. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, so they'd be suitable for daily wear, but clearly not intended for sports use.
Functionally, timekeeping accuracy is rated at ±20 seconds per month. The watches are powered by a standard quartz movement with an approximate three-year battery life using an SR927SW battery. Depending on the model, the dial layout includes either a clean three-hand configuration or additional sub-dials showing date, day, and a 24-hour indicator. All models feature analog hands for hours, minutes, and seconds.
Pricing and exact availability isn't listed on Casio's official webpage, but since a January release is confirmed, we can expect that info to surface soon enough. Historically, Casio Beside models with sapphire crystals and steel bracelets have sold around $150-$300 in the US - just as a reference.
